Your mission is to build fast, functional, and conversion-focused WordPress websites for Pulse Creative’s clients that look exactly as designed and perform exactly as expected. At Pulse Creative, web development is a critical delivery function — the websites we build are the digital foundation of our clients’ businesses, and the quality of the build directly affects whether they generate leads.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining WordPress websites using Elementor Pro, implementing custom CSS and JavaScript, managing Hostinger hosting environments, and ensuring every site we deliver meets a high technical and performance standard. Your Role
WordPress Developer
As a WordPress Developer at Pulse Creative, you will build client websites from Figma designs or creative briefs using WordPress, Elementor Pro, and the Astra theme as the primary stack. You will implement custom CSS and JavaScript where needed, configure plugins, set up hosting environments on Hostinger, optimise site performance, and conduct technical QA before every launch.
The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio of WordPress websites built with Elementor Pro, understands how to translate design files into pixel-accurate builds, is comfortable writing custom CSS and basic JavaScript, and can manage the full technical lifecycle of a website project independently.
Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years of WordPress development experience with a portfolio of commercial sites built with Elementor Pro.
- Strong proficiency in custom CSS and ability to write JavaScript for custom interactions and functionality.
- Experience with the Astra theme, ACF, WooCommerce, and common WordPress plugin ecosystems.
- Ability to translate Figma designs accurately into live WordPress builds without quality loss.
- Understanding of website performance optimisation including Core Web Vitals, caching, and image optimisation.
- Experience managing hosting environments on Hostinger or similar cPanel-based hosting platforms.
- Fully available and not engaged in conflicting full-time commitments.
What You'll Do
- Build WordPress websites from Figma designs or creative briefs using Elementor Pro and the Astra theme.
- Write custom CSS and JavaScript to achieve design accuracy, custom interactions, and functionality not available natively in Elementor.
- Configure and customise WordPress plugins including ACF, WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, and caching plugins.
- Set up and manage hosting environments on Hostinger including DNS configuration, SSL, staging, and backups.
- Conduct full technical QA on every build before launch including cross-browser testing, mobile responsiveness, and performance checks.
- Maintain and update existing client websites including plugin updates, content changes, and technical fixes.
Don't Apply If
- You build WordPress sites using templates or pre-built demos without custom CSS or pixel-accurate design implementation.
- You are not proficient in Elementor Pro — this is the primary page builder used across all client projects.
- You cannot write custom CSS confidently — the ability to override Elementor’s output with precision is essential.
- You have no experience managing hosting environments and require a separate DevOps person for basic server tasks.
- You cannot work independently on a full website project from brief to launch without constant technical guidance.
